3. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms of Use.

If you are not legally able to enter into this agreement on your own, you may only use Run365 with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian where permitted by law.

By using Run365, you confirm that the information you provide about your eligibility is accurate.

4. Your Account

Some Run365 features require an account.

When creating and maintaining your account, you agree to:

  • provide accurate and reasonably complete information;
  • keep your account information up to date;
  • keep your password and login details secure;
  • not allow another person to use your account without permission;
  • notify Run365 if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

You are responsible for activity that takes place through your account unless that activity resulted from a security failure attributable to Run365.

Run365 may require you to verify your email address, identity or account information where reasonably necessary for account security or support.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Run365 responsibly, lawfully and in a way that does not harm Run365, its users or third parties.

You may not:

  • use Run365 for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes;
  • provide information that you know is false or misleading;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;
  • access or attempt to access another user's account without permission;
  • interfere with the security, availability or operation of Run365;
  • introduce malicious software, harmful code or automated attacks;

  • use Run365 in a way that places an unreasonable load on its infrastructure.

Run365 may investigate suspected misuse and take reasonable action to protect the platform and its users.

6. Your Information and Content

You retain ownership of information and content that you create or submit to Run365, including manually entered activities, notes, profile information and uploaded profile images.

You grant Run365 a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, reproduce and display that information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • operate your account;
  • provide the features you request;
  • calculate your personal statistics;
  • secure, maintain and support the platform;
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

This licence ends when the relevant information is deleted, except where limited retention is permitted or required by law.

You are responsible for ensuring that information you submit does not violate the rights of another person.

7. Activity Information

Activity information may be entered manually or imported from a fitness service that you choose to connect.

You are responsible for reviewing your activity information and confirming that it is suitable for your intended use.

Imported and calculated information may be incomplete, duplicated, delayed or inaccurate because of:

  • device measurement limitations;
  • GPS or sensor inaccuracies;
  • incorrect user input;
  • third-party service errors;
  • missing provider data;
  • network or synchronisation failures;
  • differences between calculation methods.

Run365 may provide tools to correct or remove information, but cannot guarantee that all imported or measured activity data is accurate.

8. Third-Party Fitness Services

Run365 may allow you to connect third-party fitness services. Connecting a service is optional and requires your authorisation.

Your use of a third-party service remains subject to that provider's own terms, policies, permissions and technical limitations.

Run365 is not responsible for:

  • the availability of a third-party service;
  • the accuracy or completeness of information supplied by that service;
  • changes made to a provider's API, permissions or policies;
  • a provider suspending, restricting or discontinuing access;
  • actions taken by you directly through the third-party service.

Run365 may modify, suspend or discontinue an integration if necessary to comply with provider rules, protect user information or respond to technical changes.

Strava

Run365 uses the Strava API to provide optional activity-import functionality to users who authorise the connection.

By connecting Strava, you authorise Run365 to access and process information within the permissions you grant.

Your use of Strava remains governed by Strava's own terms and policies.

You may disconnect Strava through Run365 or revoke Run365's access through your Strava account.

When the connection is disconnected or revoked, Run365 will remove the associated authorisation credentials and delete imported Strava activity data in accordance with the Run365 Privacy Policy.

Run365 is an independent platform. It is not developed, sponsored or endorsed by Strava.

9. Health, Safety and Training Disclaimer

Running, walking, hiking and other forms of physical activity involve inherent risks.

These risks may include fatigue, dehydration, falls, traffic incidents, environmental exposure, illness, injury, permanent disability or death.

Run365 provides general educational information, training tools, calculations, plans and personal statistics. Run365 does not provide:

  • medical advice;
  • medical diagnosis or treatment;
  • emergency services;
  • physiotherapy or rehabilitation services;
  • individualised advice from a healthcare professional;
  • a guarantee of sporting performance or race results.

Run365 content and tools are not a substitute for consultation with an appropriately qualified doctor, physiotherapist, coach, dietitian or other professional.

You are responsible for deciding whether an activity, route, training session or programme is appropriate for you.

You should seek appropriate medical advice before beginning or changing an exercise programme if you:

  • have an existing medical condition;
  • are recovering from illness or injury;
  • experience pain, dizziness, chest discomfort, unusual shortness of breath or other concerning symptoms;
  • are uncertain whether exercise is safe for you.

Stop exercising and seek appropriate assistance if you experience symptoms that may indicate illness or injury.

10. Calculators, Statistics and Insights

Run365 calculators, statistics, predictions, personal bests, training zones and insights are estimates based on the information available to Run365 and the formulas or methods used by the relevant feature.

Results may differ from:

  • results produced by another application or device;
  • official race results;
  • measurements taken by a healthcare professional;
  • your actual future performance.

Performance and training outcomes may be affected by factors including fitness, health, fatigue, terrain, weather, altitude, nutrition, hydration, equipment and training consistency.

Calculator and insight results should be treated as guidance and not as guarantees or professional advice.

11. Training Plans

Training plans supplied by Run365 are general educational resources and may not account for your full health, injury, fitness or training history.

You are responsible for:

  • selecting a plan suitable for your current ability;
  • adjusting or stopping training when necessary;
  • allowing adequate recovery;
  • seeking professional advice where appropriate;
  • not continuing a session through injury or unsafe symptoms.

Completing a Run365 training plan does not guarantee that you will reach a particular race time, distance or performance outcome.

12. Routes and Location-Based Information

Route, map, distance and elevation features may rely on third-party mapping information, GPS measurements and user-provided data.

A route appearing on Run365 does not mean that the route is:

  • safe;
  • open to the public;
  • legally accessible;
  • suitable for running or walking;
  • free from traffic, crime, animals, weather hazards or dangerous terrain;
  • accurately mapped at all times.

You are responsible for checking current conditions, access restrictions, weather, traffic, terrain and personal safety before following a route.

Do not rely on Run365 as an emergency navigation or rescue service.

13. Articles and Educational Content

Articles, guides and other educational content published through Run365 are provided for general informational purposes.

Although Run365 aims to provide useful and responsible information, content may not apply to every individual or every situation.

Where content is contributed by a guest author, coach, runner or other third party, the views expressed may be those of the contributor and do not necessarily represent professional advice from Run365.

14. Intellectual Property

Run365 and its original content, branding, logos, interface designs, software, documentation, calculations, graphics and other materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Except where expressly permitted, you may not:

  • copy or reproduce protected Run365 content;
  • modify or create derivative works from Run365 content;
  • sell, license or commercially exploit Run365 materials;
  • remove copyright, trademark or attribution notices;
  • use Run365 branding in a way that implies authorisation or endorsement.

Third-party names, trademarks, logos and services remain the property of their respective owners.

15. Feedback and Suggestions

Run365 welcomes feedback, bug reports and feature suggestions.

When you voluntarily submit an idea or suggestion, you allow Run365 to consider, develop and use that feedback without an obligation to pay compensation, provided that Run365 does not claim ownership of your unrelated personal content.

16. Service Availability

Run365 aims to provide a dependable service but does not guarantee that the platform will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

Access may be affected by:

  • scheduled or emergency maintenance;
  • software updates;
  • hosting or network failures;
  • security incidents;
  • third-party service outages;
  • events outside Run365's reasonable control.

Run365 may temporarily restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the platform, users or data.

17. Changes to Run365

Run365 is continually evolving.

Features may be added, modified, restricted, replaced or removed. Run365 may also change technical requirements, supported integrations or usage limits.

Where practical, Run365 will take reasonable steps to communicate significant changes that materially affect users.

18. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Run365 at any time and may request deletion of your account in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

Run365 may restrict, suspend or terminate an account where reasonably necessary because:

  • these Terms of Use have been materially or repeatedly violated;
  • the account is being used unlawfully or fraudulently;
  • the account presents a security risk;
  • continued access could harm Run365, its users or a third party;
  • Run365 is required to do so by law;
  • the service or relevant feature is discontinued.

Where reasonably possible and appropriate, Run365 will give notice or an opportunity to correct the issue before terminating an account.

Serious security threats, fraud, unlawful conduct or harmful abuse may result in immediate action.

19. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Run365 is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Run365 does not guarantee that:

  • the platform will meet every user's individual requirements;
  • all information will be complete, current or error-free;
  • all synchronisations or imports will succeed;
  • all defects will be corrected immediately;
  • use of Run365 will produce a particular health, training or performance result.

Nothing in these terms excludes any warranty, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Run365 will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the platform.

This may include loss arising from:

  • reliance on training guidance, calculators or statistics;
  • inaccurate device, GPS, sensor or imported information;
  • loss or corruption of activity data;
  • third-party services or integrations;
  • temporary service interruption;
  • following a route or participating in physical activity;
  • unauthorised access caused by a user's failure to secure their login details.

You remain responsible for your own training decisions, physical activity, equipment, route selection, health and personal safety.

Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by South African law.

21. Privacy

Run365's collection, use, retention and deletion of personal information is explained in the Run365 Privacy Policy.

The updated date displayed at the top of this page will show when the terms were last revised.

Where a change materially affects users, Run365 will take reasonable steps to bring the change to their attention.

Continuing to use Run365 after updated terms take effect means that you accept the revised terms. If you do not accept the revised terms, you should stop using Run365 and may request deletion of your account.
